We left Honolulu on Thursday April 10, "lost a day" by crossing the international date line, and arrived in Tokyo Friday evening April 11. Met up with our tour group at the very huge and busy Narita airport. The ride to the Westin hotel in Tokyo was over an hour, mostly due to distance, traffic was moderate, speed was fast. What a change in culture from Hawaii to Japan! I plan to post more but here is our greeting from our Tokyo arrival, taken in the garden of the Westin hotel:

Indeed it is and we saw a few others today. And I appreciate so much you Carl, teaching me how to say arigato goziamus, which has come in quite handy.
